Join us as we slow down together while learning the beautiful Japanese craft of Kinusaiga. In this 3 hour beginner's workshop you’ll be guided through the basics of Kinusaiga as you craft a beautiful fabric artwork from our huge sustainable range of fabric gathered from charity shops and crafters, ready to bring some joy to your home.
We’ll have lots of landscape inspiration in the studio, alongside some templates for those needing a little bit of guidance. Don’t feel you have to create a landscape - we love seeing the designs you come up with!
Ahead of your workshop, we’ll email you with our templates and some pointers for your creating your own design. Choosing your design before the workshop will really help us to make the most of our time together crafting, so please make sure to do this.
Feel free to bring along some of your own fabrics if you want to create a more sentimental piece (maybe your child’s first clothes, or fabric belonging to a loved one who is no longer with us). We recommend fabric that is not too thick, and has a little bit of stretch to it - jersey works really well, wooly jumpers definitely don’t!
Accessible to adults and crafty kids aged 13+. All materials are included in the workshop, along with lots of biscuits and refreshments.
